What is Stonewall Yoga?
Stonewall Yoga is a non-competitive queer social yoga group, which meets once a week to share in a guided yoga practice, all while fundraising for local charities.
But isn’t Stonewall a sports league and yoga not a sport?
The Stonewall Board and Stonewall Yoga’s organizers felt the Stonewall mission could be further served by the addition of a new group, including one without a competitive thread. So while our practices won't be competitive, and yoga isn't a "sport," we hope you look pass these differences and join us on your mat for an expansion of Stonewall's previous offerings and the chance to try something new.
WHO IS STONEWALL YOGA FOR?
STONEWALL YOGA WAS MADE FOR Members of THE LGBTQ COMMUNITY (AND OUR fantastic ALLIES) WHO ARE INTERESTED IN DEEPENING THEIR YOGA PRACTICE WHILE BOnDING WITH OTHER LIKE MINDED INDIVIDUALS. Designed FOR THE COMPLETELY NEW PRACTITIONER, TO THE MORE ADVANCED, FOR EVERY MEMBER OF THE LGBTQ COMMUNITY and those who support us, Stonewall Yoga hopes to support a diverse community of practitioners who enjoy breaking it down on their mat as much as they enjoy socializing after class.
